I am so pleased to be involved in the Unity Art Project. It is a collaborative art project raising funds for the Trussell Trust via an online auction 17th-23rd May.
The starting point for the project was to take a limited edition screen print created by Lucy Chapman (Who also organised the project) and to hand finish it in anyway we liked. Along with myself another 19 artists have taken part. The original piece was inspired by a lyric from the song Unity by James Brown and Afrikaa Bambaataa
Here is a link my interview that explains what I get up to and how I approached the work. I used ink and a dip pen with nibs I found in my Grandad's desk. It was spontaneous and intuitive and I just went with the flow. It was so fun to see it emerge from the page.
This is the moment I started.
